INTRODUCING NEW RIDE LEADER EMMA
Emma carves out adventure when ever she can and it inspires us all to do the same. Whether it’s a cycle to beach after school, a bikepacking trip with other families or joining a Sisters in the Wild rally with friends, Emma’s bike joy rubs off on everyone she rides with.
Let’s hear more about Emma and why she chooses to ride bikes with us…
P.A.S.T WINTER 2023 / 2024
The PAST adventure series is all about spotlighting the amateur, the person who already won by getting to the start line.
This is our 2nd P.A.S.T series round up.
INTRODUCING NEW RIDE LEADER CE CE
Introducing new ride leader, Ce Ce.
Some people have to read books, listen to podcasts and study hard to understand what leadership is. Some people are born with great leadership skills. Ce Ce is one of those people.
She’s comfortable with being vulnerable, sharing when she’s nervous or scared. She cares about making people feel included and welcome and she is curious, asking questions when she doesn’t understand or wants to know more.
We’re excited to announce Ce Ce has accepted our invitation to join us as a NFORC ride leader. We introduce her here.
START. STOP. CONTINUE.
We brought some people together and asked them what they would like NFORC to start, stop and continue. This is what they said.

THE LAUNCH OF P.A.S.T WINTER 2022 / 2023
The PAST adventure series is all about spotlighting the amateur, the person who already won by getting to the start line. The person who maxed out their annual leave and went on an adventure. The person who had 9 hours without the kids so went to the forest for a camp out before being back for the school run in the morning.
NAME CHANGE
We believe that there will be a time where inclusive, diverse and accessible community led cycling groups are the norm, not the exception. We commit to doing what we can to making this a reality.
Our rides are for femmes, trans, women and non-binary folks and everyone else who wants to uplift themselves outside of the patriarchy. ✌️
INTRODUCING NEW RIDE LEADER MARTINE
Introducing new ride leader, Martine. She her.
Riding bikes has given me some of my biggest adventures and challenges, better fitness, more resilience, it’s helped improve my mental health and I’ve forged the best of friends via cycling. It’s also brought me to NFORC. Riding bikes is awesome!
ALLY’S WE WANT TO SHOUT ABOUT
We are incredibly fortunate to have some incredibly supportive ally’s in our community. We want to make space here to celebrate people and their work and encourage others to take their lead.
Specialized Turbo Tero E bike.
What was it I wonder back in November '22 about riding an E- bike that made me think my identity as a cyclist was about to change? That was when Specialized UK generously loaned New Forest Off Road Club two Turbo Tero 3.0 E-bikes and I became the very fortunate main guardian of one of them.
Was it a feeling of ‘cheating’ in some way ? Not ‘pure’ biking because of the pedal assist from a battery and motor?

Group Ride Intro
Welcome in to the bosom of the matriarchy. We’re really glad you’re here..
The Badger Divide
We’d first heard of the Badger Divide at Brother in the Wild 2021 when Luke, Co Founder of Outdoor Provisions and designer of the Second City Divide spoke about ‘adding it on’ to the Second City Divide to make it the Double Divide.
You don’t have to wear a back pack on a bike ride.
We see a lot of people on our rides with back packs. We also see a lot of people on our rides who don’t have what they might need to fix a mechanical. We wanted to team up with Harry and Vee from Wizard works to do a demo ride, where you can rig your bike up with one of their bags and see how it feels. Carry what you want and need, but let your bike do the heavy lifting.
