Arrive between 9:00 - 9:30 on Saturday the 2nd of December at Burley Cricket Club Car park where Sue, our Ordnance Survey Champion, will give you a paper map with check points already plotted and a clue sheet. 🗺
Set off into the forest to find our hidden checkpoints, using your OS map to navigate. 🧭
The route is approximately half on Forest roads and lanes and half on the designated way marked off road trails. All check points are visible and accessible from the roadside or trailside. 🌲
You can tick off as many or as few checkpoints as you like. There is no set distance to cover, so the riding can be adapted for all, including families. 👩👩👧👧
If you would like to ride to all 23 clues, the route is 23km.
Regroup back at base camp at 1:00 for mulled wine and mince pies. 🍰 🍷
Come with everything you’d need on a normal group ride, including water, snacks and puncture repair items. ⚙️
Bring a pen to record answers and (dependent on weather), something waterproof to put the A4 map and clue sheet in.
Ticket includes a mince pie and mulled wine*!
* vegan and alcohol free will be available.
